Dragon Tots – The first three stages of the National Plan are covered by this section. The Aqua Passport offers expert tips to parents to bring on the young swimmer and develop sound water confidence. The booklet is interactive and stickers are collected as each stage is completed along with a certificate of achievement.
When you join the Dragon Tots you will be given a folder, booklet and swim bag.
You will move from Dragon Tots to Dragonfly once you have mastered the water safety code and achieved stage 3 of the National Plan.
Note to parents:
Disabled swimmers may find that they are meeting stages of Aqua Passport at a later age than may be specified. Aqua Passport will offer a flexible approach to the entry level of swimmers, so they are able to meet the skills required to move to the next stage of the programme.
Disabled swimmers may also find that they progress at a slower rate depending upon the level of disability. Again, the Aqua Passport is designed to ensure that participants are able to develop skills at a pace that will suit individual needs.
